Summary Nr: 170127518Event: 07/16/1993Electric Shock - Contact With Overhead Line Thru Antenna
A crew of military personnel was assembling a radio communications antenna near a 7800-volt overhead power line. The crew raised the antenna to a vertical position using nylon guys partially secured to the tower base. Before the antenna was fully secured, it started to sway and move toward the power line. An employee who was not part of the crew rushed to the site and tried to stop the falling antenna, grabbing the tower near its base.
