At approximately 2:00 a.m. on September 21, 2017, Employee #1 and #2 were workin g from a basket of an aerial lift. Both employees were installing electrical con duits at approximate height of 45 ft. As the bottom of the boom extension descen ded, it struck a post. The boom collision with the pole caused the basket to bou nce and eject both employees. Employee #1 was killed in the fall, whereas Employ ee #2 fractured his pelvis and leg when he struck the ground. Employee #2 was tr ansported to a medical center, where he was hospitalized.
