At 5:45 a.m. on July 27, 2017, Employee #1 was bleeding acetylene cylinders by r emoving the caps using a battery powered drill. The battery powered drill was no t safe for the hazardous atmosphere and the acetylene ignited in a fire ball. Th e employee sustained extensive burns and was hospitalized.
