At 1:30 p.m. on November 17, 2014, an employee was trimming a tree using an 8 fo ot ladder and a 6 inch folding pocket pruner. The employee was found lying face down in a pool of blood on a concrete patio near the base of a pepper tree by t he property owners. Several branches were cut approximately 13 feet above grou nd level which indicated that the employee had to climb into the tree to cut the branches. The ladder was standing against the tree. The employee was pronounc ed dead at the scene from blunt force trauma to the head by the coroner who stat ed that the employee's body was still warm when they had arrived at 1:30 p.m. T he coroner also stated in their report that the employee was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
