At approximately 11:30 p.m. on August 29, 2012, Employee #1 was removing cones and signs from a highway overpass. He had completely removed signs and cones on southbound lanes and was working on the northbound lane, where the lanes split apart. Employee #1 attempted to retrieve some equipment left on the southbound lanes, but was not aware of the lack of support material between the lanes and falling through and off the overpass. He struck the ground below and sustained multiple unspecified injuries that killed him.
