On September 3, 2009, Employee #1, a manager, was cutting thin aluminum sheet metal with a 7-in. circular saw, a Ryobi, Model Number CSB1308. He was cutting with the saw in his right hand and the sheet metal in his left hand. The saw kicked back, striking his left hand and his finger was amputated.
