On October 3, 2006, Employee #1 was a tree climber, working at a tree trimming and removal job. He had been hoisted by a crane approximately 75 ft, to the top of the tree. His harness was directly connected to the crane's hook. He had forgotten his "buck strap" and was being lowered to get it. While being lowered, his harness became unhooked from the crane. Employee #1 was killed when he fell approximately 60 ft. He was not wearing a hard hat and had a chain saw with him.
