On June 27, 2004, Employee #1 was sitting on top of a billboard, at approximately 34 feet from the ground, changing the sign on the billboard. As he was removing the 10-foot-long gripper bar, he leaned it back into the power line. Employee #1 contacted a 7,200-volt overhead power line and sustained burns to his hands, thighs, and groin areas. He was hospitalized.
