On August 5, 2002, Employee #1, an apprentice carpenter, was working at a residential construction site. He was using a portable Skilsaw to cut a piece of wood when he sustained a severe laceration to his left wrist. Employee #1 was transported to the Valley Care Hospital-Livermore, where he was admitted for treatment.
