Employee #1, a landscaper, was adjusting the cutting height of a lawn mower by adjusting the wheels. He lifted the mower while its motor was running, amputating two fingers on his right hand. There were no witnesses to the accident. The lawn mower was designed so that the blades would rotate while it was running in idle.
