On June 8, 2007, a coworker for a demolition company was welding a piece of steel pipe. Employee #1, who was working below the coworker, was struck in the head by a falling pipe. His hard hat was knocked from his hard. Immediately following the pipe, an additional 70 to 80 lbs of concrete feel and struck him in the head. Employee #1 was transported a local hospital, where he was treated and released.
