At approximately 11:30 a.m. on September 16, 2003, an employee, a driver for a Interstate Trucking firm was on the bed of his stationary flat-bed trailer reportedly examining a piece of machinery which had previously been loaded when the load shifted and fell off the trailer to the ground. The shifting load either knocked the driver off the trailer or he jumped. He was pinned beneath the machinery. The machinery, called a conveyor had section was immediately removed from the employee with a forklift. The employee was transported to Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Washington where he was pronounced dead.
