Employee #1 was using a capstan drive and rope to pull electrical wires through a conduit. The wires became snagged in the conduit, causing the rope to become very taut. When the tension was released the rope pulled back, and Employee #1's right hand was pulled into the machine. He sustained severe lacerations that required hospitalization.
