Employee #1, a tree cutter/trimmer, was part of a three-man logging crew that also included a truck driver and skidder operator. Apparently Employee #1 was struck in the head by a branch of the tree that he was cutting. There was no witness but he was found lying on his back with blood coming from his nose and mouth and his saw, still running, lying next to him. Employee #1 was pronounced dead at the scene.
