A power line worker had finished installing a cutout switch on a utility pole. After he descended the pole, he saw a piece of tape on the cutout switch and decided to climb back up to remove it. As he reached the top to remove the tape, his climbers apparently cut out. The slip caused him to touch the 7200-volt contact on top of the switch with his left hand while his right hand was apparently touching a grounded guy. The employee was electrocuted. (He also fell to the ground and broke his right leg.) The employee was not wearing his rubber insulating gloves at the time of the accident.
