At 1:30 p.m. on July 9, 2019, an employee was performing a transfer of propane w ith a methanol additive into an underground tank. The employee was wearing leath er gloves and safety glasses. The employee connected the hose, opened the bleede r and did not hear a release, and began the transfer of propane when he was spra yed in the eyes with propane. The employee was hospitalized to treat cryogenic b urns to his left eye.
