At 10:00 a.m. on March 27, 2019, Employee #1 was adding masa dough product to the tortilla machine by hand. The employee was overriding the door safety switch to make the machine push the dough forward in order to add more dough into the machine. The employee's hand was crushed in the tortilla machine, resulting in fractures to the hand. Employee #1 was hospitalized for treatment.
