At 3:00 p.m. on November 8, 2019, Employee #1 and several coworkers, all firefighters were putting out a spot fire from a campfire. Then, a propane tank, approximately 200 feet away from the campfire, exploded, and the employee was hit by burning debris. The employee did not have protective shrouds deployed around their face and neck. The employee was hospitalized.
