At 2:00 a.m. on October 18, 2018, an employee climbed a six-foot A-frame ladder to access the attic of a new construction home to install electrical boxes. The employee stood on top of the top rung and grabbed hold of the attic entry to pul l himself up. The employee lost footing on the ladder, knocked the ladder over a nd then lost grip on the entryway. The employee landed on both feet, but immedia tely laid down due to intense pain in the back. The employee was transported to a local hospital, where the employee was hospitalized to treat two spinal fractu res.
