At approximately 2:05 p.m. on February 11, 2019, an employee was rebooting a scanning gun due to connectivity issues to scan materials prior to the incident. The employee and coworker #1 was working in aisle 11, but both employees overlooked to place the safety cones at the entry points. Safety cones at the entry of the aisle alert others that the aisle is occupied which means do not enter. Coworker #2 was operating a side-loader picking orders and went down aisle 11 and was looking up searching for his pick. Then, coworker #2 struck the employee as the employee pushed coworker #1 out of the way. The employee was pinned between the rack and the side-loader. Coworkers called 911, and upon arrival, EMTs assessed the injuries of the employee and transported him to the hospital. The employee sustained injuries in the accident: broken ribs, fractured pelvis, and a bruised lung. | |||||||
