At 7:20 a.m. on January 8, 2019, an employee was moving totes of chicken parts and reached past the guard for the chicken leg deskinner while it was running. The employee's left hand ring finger came into contact with the rotating auger blades and amputated the tip of it. The employee was hospitalized.
