At 10:45 a.m. on December 4, 2018, an employee removed the guard, spreader, and anti-kickback fingers on a Powermatic Table Saw and was ripping a 2 by 4 inch board that was approximately 18 inches in length. The employee had his right hand pulled into the saw blade when the wood was caught and kicked back. The employee amputated the upper portion of his pinky and lacerated his palm to the wrist. The employee was hospitalized.
