At 2:10 p.m. on September 21, 2018, Employee #1 and coworkers, employed by a con struction company, were preparing to depart the shop to go to an out-of-town job . They had loaded a Ford F-350 pickup truck with enclosed trailer. As Employee #1 was closing up the shop doors, he saw the truck pulling away. He ran after the truck and tried to jump onto the back bumper. Employee #1 lost his footing and fell to the ground. He was run over and dragged approximately 15 feet by th e trailer. Emergency services transported the employee to the hospital, where h e was admitted and treated for multiple injuries, including a crushed pelvis, la cerated bowels, and crushed ribs.
