At 11:30 a.m. on October 11, 2018, an employee was operating a rip saw when the exhaust hose and port underneath became clogged with sawdust. The employee remo ved the hose from the port and reached into it before allowing the blades to com e to a complete stop. The employee struck his right thumb with the rotating bla des and amputated the thumb. The employee was hospitalized.
