At 9:30 p.m. on August 23, 2018, an employee at an oil and gas well site was mixing water based chemicals while another employee was operating a piece of equipment nearby. Natural gas vapor travelled down wind to the employees and was ignited by the equipment, resulting in second and third burns to the employee that was mixing chemicals.
