At 2:45 p.m. on August 24, 2018, an employee was changing a flat tire from an ir rigation trailer that was lifted by a jack. The employee removed the flat tire and as positioning the replacement tire when the jack slipped on the dirt and th e trailer dropped, catching his right hand and crushed his ring finger. The emp loyee was transported to El Centro Medical Center before being transferred to UC SD Medical Center, where his finger was surgically amputated after being admitte d.
