At 11:00 a.m. on April 4, 2018, Employee #1, employed by a construction company, was operating a power circular saw and cutting wood balanced on top of a toolbox. As he attempted to reposition the wood, the saw blade came into contact with his left thumb. Emergency services were called, and Employee #1 was transported to the hospital. He was admitted and treated for the partial amputation of the thumb.
