At 1:30 p.m. on July 12, 2018, an employee was found unconscious in a work truck. The employee had been part of a crew that was surfacing a continuous rod strain using a work over rig. During work, the employee reported to his supervisor at about 11:45 a.m. that he was not feeling well. He was directed to drink some water and rest in one of the nearby work vehicles. The employee rested in the truck for about an hour, soon falling asleep, which coworkers continued to check on him every 10-20 minutes. When the job was complete, the coworkers went to wake the employee up and found him unconscious. It was later determined that the employee died from a myocardial infarction, resulting from coronary artery and hypertensive cardiovascular diseases.
