At 1:45 p.m. on July 5, 2018, an employee and a coworker were unplugging a baggi ng machine. The employee was pulling on the motor-driven belts to advance the m achine to clear the obstruction when his coworker prodded the clay obstruction f rom the machine. The employee caught his left thumb in the sheave and amputated it. The employee was hospitalized.
