At 6:30 p.m. on May 24, 2018, an employee removed an interlocked guard to the rear of the saw he was using while cutting aluminum parts so that he could cut a part to specifications. However, the employee reached into the machine without waiting for the blade to come to a complete stop and amputated his left index finger. The employee was hospitalized.
