At 4:30 p.m. on June 6, 2018, Employees #1 and #2, employed by a construction company, were engaged in steel erection work at an existing power plant. They were working with a lifted 36-foot long steel H beam when the beam tilted and slipped from the beam clamp. As the beam fell, it struck both employees. Emergency services transported the employees to the hospital. Employee #1 was treated for the amputation of his left lower leg and the severe crushing of his right leg. Employee #1 was treated for a fractured left eye socket. | |||||||
