At 11:00 a.m. on April 2, 2018, an employee was working for a wholesaler of lumb er, plywood, millwork, and wood panels. He was performing maintenance work on th e distribution fan for the Number 3 boiler. As he was removing and replacing the fan's drive belt, the fan started. His right hand became caught between the bel t and sheave (pulley) of the distribution fan. He sustained the laceration of th e middle and ring fingers on his right hand. He further sustained a fracture to the tip of the middle finger on his right hand. He was hospitalized.
