At 10:30 p.m. on January 23, 2018, an employee was cleaning an overhead cooking hood. The employee was standing on a cooking grill that was not heated. The employee stepped backwards and his foot slipped and stepped into the fryer which contained hot cooking oil. The fryer was not on. However, the oil was still hot. The employee sustained burns to the foot and is hospitalized.
