At 10:30 a.m. on December 12, 2017, Employee #1, employed by a utility services company, was driving a truck with a loaded lowboy trailer. He stopped to add air to a flat tire. As he worked on the tire, there was a sudden release of air pressure, the tire exploded, and Employee #1 was thrown approximately 6 feet away. Emergency services were called, and Employee #1 was transported to the hospital. He was admitted and treated for a concussion and head laceration, plus injuries to his chest/lungs and both arms.
