At 8:30 a.m. on January 24, 2018, an employee removed the fixed barrier guard ov er a belt and pulley while it was operating. The employee's thumb caught in a r otating belt and pulley while trying to clear a jam, resulting in the amputation of the tip of the thumb. The employee was not hospitalized.
