At 10:15 a.m. on January 2, 2018, an employee was working for a firm that repair ed commercial and industrial machinery and equipment. He was performing maintena nce on an air handling unit. The source of electrical energy had been powered of f. The belt and the pulley moved. The employee's gloved hand was caught in betwe en the belt and the pulley. He sustained the amputation of the index finger on h is right hand. The narrative did not say whether or not he was hospitalized.
