| At 1:35 p.m. on October 23, 2017, an employee and coworker were trimming several branches to maintain clearance of foliage near some overhead power lines. The employee sent the coworker around to the front of the house to put a work sign u p on the property and, when the coworker returned, the employee was lying face d own on the ground with his left arm bent behind his back. The employee climbed t he line which was draped over the secondary utility lines with one end on the gr ound. The employee was unconscious but breathing and paramedics performed resus citation before transport to Valley Medical Center. The employee suffered multi ple fractures and injuries to his sternum, ribs, and vertebra. The employee pas sed away three days later while still in the hospital. | |||||||
