The New Mexico State Plan applies to all private and public places of employment in the state with the exception of federal government workers including those employed by the United State Postal Service; maritime industries (long shoring, ship building, and ship breaking); mining operations; employment on military bases; Indian reservations; or areas of exclusive federal jurisdiction are covered under federal OSHA jurisdiction.
