29 CFR 1910.146(g)(1): The employer shall provide training so that all employees whose work is regulated by this section acquire the understanding, knowledge, and skills necessary for the safe performance of the duties assigned under this section: a. On or about July 28, 2104, employees were required to perform entry into permit required confined spaces. The employer failed to ensure that all employees were trained and provided the opportunity to acquire the understanding, knowledge and skills necessary while exposed to hazards associated with permit required confined spaces. The Dedicated TCS, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.146(g)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 415682, citation number 1, item number 6a and was affirmed as a final order on November 20, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 17356 Torrence Avenue, Lansing, IL 60438. The Dedicated TCS, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.146(g)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 388589, citation number 1, item number 5a and was affirmed as a final order on March 11, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 23330 South Frontage Road W, Channahon, IL 60410.
