29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables shall be connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided that will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. a. On or about July 28, 2014, on the elevated work platform between bay 1 and 2, employees used extension cords which were not provided with appropriate strain relief at the joints resulting in damaged insulation of the cord which allowed employees to be exposed to electrical hazards.
