29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(i): When a powered industrial truck is left unattended, load engaging means shall be fully lowered, controls shall be neutralized, power shall be shut off, and brakes set. Wheels shall be blocked if the truck is parked on an incline. WORKPLACE: The load engaging means/forks of the following powered industrial forklift trucks, left unattended were not fully lowered: 1. Baker LPG Forklift, no data plate; parked in the yard with the forks measured 24 inches above the ground. 2. Clark model GCS 15 LPG Forklift, serial number G127-1138-6790FA; parked in front of the office and the forks measured 18 inches above the ground.
