1926.502(d)(7): On suspended scaffolds or similar work platforms with horizontal lifelines which may become vertical lifelines, the devices used to connect to the horizontal lifeline was not capable of locking in both directions. a)Hayward Baker Inc., 1501 Maroon Creek Road, Aspen, CO: On and prior to 8/12/2011, personal fall arrest system devices used for connecting to the horizontal lifelines (2) on the crane suspended Geotechnical Drill machine were not capable of locking in both directions. Snap hooks with inside diameters considerably larger than the 1/2 inch horizontal wire rope were used. Condition exposed employees utilizing the horizontal lifelines (2) to struck by hazards in the event the Geotechnical Drill machine was to become vertical.
