29 CFR 1910.244(a)(2)(iii): Loads were not cribbed, blocked or otherwise secured immediately after being raised with a jack. a) On January 10, 2014, in the shop, the employer allowed employees changing a broken spring shackle to work under a commercial bus, which was supported by three hydraulic bottle jacks and a fourth safety hydraulic jack, with no cribbing in place. b) On December 2, 2013, in the lower lot of facility, the employer allowed an employee to use a 20 ton hydraulic bottle jack, to lift and support a commercial bus off the ground, and not place any cribbing or blocking under the bus to support the weight and secure the load. c) On and before November 2013, in the shop, the employer allowed an employee changing brake pads to work under a commercial bus, which was supported by two hydraulic bottle jacks, with no cribbing in place.
