Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section 5(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to caught-in hazards: On or about December 5, 2013, employees were exposed to caught-in hazards when the belt rollers under the BC06 belt conveyor were not guarded to prevent employees from getting caught in the rollers during operation. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement includes, but is not limited to, installing covers at the roller mounts to prevent worker contact hazards.
