Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.151(b): There was neither an infirmary, clinic, or hospital used for the treatment of all injured employees in near proximity to the workplace nor a person or persons adequately trained to render first aid: The employer failed to provide timely responsive medical treatment for injured employees. This was most recently evident during the inspection of the facility located 5 miles NW of Albion on Hwy 14, Albion, NE 68620, where the employer had a maintenance employee injured in a job related accident that required emergency medical treatment and the fastest response time was in excess of five minutes from the local 911 rescue. Instances include but are not limited to: i. Employer has personnel throughout the company trained in first aid and CPR however has failed to identify any of those personnel as first responders. ii. The emloyer's first aid kits do not meet the needs of first responders, as well as their are no imobilization equipment or strechers for transporting injured employees to a safe area.
