29 CFR 1910.334(a)(2)(i) is applicable to employment by 29 CFR 1917.1(a)(2)(iv) that incorporates the General Industry requirement : Portable cord and plug connected equipment and flexible cord sets (extension cords) were not visually inspected before use on any shift for external defects (such as loose parts, deformed and missing pins, or damage to outer jacket or insulation) and for evidence of possible internal damage (such as pinched or crushed outer jacket): (a) On or about July 16, 2013 the inspection revealed that the flexible cord providing power to the weigh shack had damaged outer insulation. Located outside the weigh shack at 16273 Lower Harbor Road in Brookings, Oregon.
