29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: a) Reliable Castings Corporation - Sidney, Ohio: On or about July 22, 2013, the employer failed to develop, document, and utilize energy control procedures to control hazardous energy of the robot associated with Cell #1. Employees were exposed to crush/struck-by hazards in that energy control was not utilized before employees entered the robot cell to troubleshoot and adjust mechanisms that sense part containers. Reliable Castings Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 886283, citation number1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on June 4, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 1521 W. Michigan St. in Sidney, Ohio.
