29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vi): Each employee performing overhand bricklaying operations from a supported scaffold was not protected from falling from all open sides and ends of the scaffold (except at the side next to the wall being laid) by the use of a personal fall arrest system or guardrail system (with minimum 200 pound top-rail capacity). a) On June 18, 2013 and at times prior thereto; Front of building; employees working on a scaffold system installing the brick were exposed to a 30 foot fall at the ends of the working platform. The Ferrell Masonry LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 29 1926.451(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315550608, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 8/9/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 1900 Vermont Ave NW Washington DC. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
