Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.404(b)(1)(ii): All 120-volt, single-phase 15- and 20-ampere receptacle outlets on construction sites, which are not a part of the permanent wiring of the building or structure and which are in use by employees, did not have approved ground-fault circuit interrupters for personnel protection: a) On or about June 19, 2013, at the above addressed jobsite, electrical receptacle outlets used to power tools and other equipment did not have ground fault circuit interrupters installed. Employees were thereby exposed to electrical shock and electrocution hazards. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
