29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(9): The area around the top and bottom of ladders shall be kept clear. a- 50 Sidney Avenue, Deal NJ: Workers using aluminum extension ladders to access the work areas approximately 22 feet 2 inches to the ground surface below were exposed to fall hazards when the areas at the bottom of these ladders were blocked/cluttered with piles of shingles, debris, etc. As such, this condition created a trip and fall hazard at the worksite. Condition observed on or about 05/30/13.
